This program was an unexpected and pleasant surprise
I really liked WandaVision, but that was three years ago and a lot has happened in the MCU since then, with many projects being scrapped or reworked. I’d forgotten such a thing existed until the commercials started a few months ago. I watched the first episode out of curiosity and found it interesting and very funny (“based on the Danish TV series” was hilarious), thanks in large part to Katherine Hahn, who was brilliant as always.
It was fun and interesting, without a single weak link in the cast
It’s an entertaining “MCU-adjacent” game, like Werewolf by Night, and it proves that Marvel and Disney should maybe pay a little more attention to the dark side of their universe, as that’s been the more entertaining side for a while now. The concept of Witches Road is fun and interesting, and the show is basically a road trip show where you get the band back together (after paying a brief homage to its roots with TV show tropes in episode one). There’s enough mystery surrounding “Teen”; and even Sylvia’s true nature in intriguing me and wanting to find the answers while Agatha gets her groove back, even if the “M-word” was just a joke.
